What we collect
- When you order: Your name, email, phone number, delivery address, and any personal gift note you write.
- When you join our letters (newsletter): Your email address, collected only with your explicit consent.
- When you write to us: Your name, email, and inquiry or message.
- If you create an account: Your name, email, mobile number, password (stored encrypted, we never see it) and any addresses you save. You can delete your account yourself at any time.
- Payments: Handled directly and securely by UPI apps or Razorpay. SaPrié never sees, stores, or processes your card, UPI PIN, or bank credentials.
- Zero tracking cookies: We do not use third-party tracking cookies or sell behavioral profiles. Our analytics are privacy-first and cookie-free.
Why we process your data
We process your personal data solely for specific, legitimate purposes:
- To craft, assemble, pack, and courier your handmade pieces.
- To send order receipts, tracking numbers, and delivery updates.
- To assist you with care queries or questions.
- To deliver our slow letters and seasonal announcements, only if you opted in.
Who we share it with
We only share the minimal necessary information with trusted partners essential to fulfilling your order:
- Delivery & Courier Partners: Name, delivery address, and mobile number for parcel transit and OTP/delivery confirmation.
- Official Email Dispatch: Hostinger Mail (smtp.hostinger.com) for sending order confirmations and correspondence.
- Database Host: Supabase, hosted in secure data centers with encrypted storage.
- Website Host: Vercel, which serves the site and keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address) for security. Its visitor counts are cookie-free and don't identify you.
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing or advertising.
How long we retain data
Order and invoicing records are retained for 8 years as required by Indian commercial, tax, and GST regulations. Newsletter subscribers remain on our list until they choose to unsubscribe.
Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
As a Data Principal, you are entitled to:
- Right to access: Request a summary of the personal data we process about you.
- Right to correction & erasure: Request updates, corrections, or erasure of outdated personal data (subject to legal record-keeping obligations).
- Right of grievance redressal: Email our grievance officer, Sakshi Gattani, at namaste@saprie.in. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within one month.
- Right to withdraw consent: Unsubscribe from our letters anytime via the link at the bottom of every letter, or by writing to us. Order emails (receipts and delivery updates) are sent only for orders you place.
